Changes to RDS Craft Awards14-Feb-2018
Following a review of the Awards, the RDS has decided to significantly increase its direct support to the craft sector. This increased commitment involves:
1 A restructuring of the RDS Craft Awards which will be in the form of significant bursaries (5 x €10,000) for emerging craft makers.
2 The creation of a new €10,000 bursary for established makers which will be managed by the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland (DCCoI) and sponsored by the RDS.

Top Floor Art Gallery & Open Studios are inviting applications for full studio membership. A shared, open studio space will become available in April / May 2018.

This high quality Craft fair includes demonstrations, workshops, Food and Non-Craft Stands. Craft and food produce should be handmade by the Artist/Designer/Maker or Craft Company.

4th Annual ‘On Paper’ International Printmaking Award 201811-Jan-2018 - Awards & Competitions
ON PAPER Printmaking Contest 2018
ON PAPER is a project to promote the art of printmaking and develop connections between printmakers around the world.
The shortlisted artists for the On PAPER Award 2018 will be exhibited in the Spike Print Studio at Spike Island, Bristol (UK) in summer 2018.

PORTFOLIO: Critical Selection 2015-2016- Exhibitions
PORTFOLIO: Critical Selection is a biennial publication from the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland. Featured makers are selected for achieving excellence in craftsmanship by comparative international standards. The 2015 -2016 edition includes recognised NI-based makers Cara Murphy, Karl Harron, Michael McCrory and Stuart Cairns.
New Direction for Craft NI’s Exhibition Space Launched.- Exhibitions
Just launched the new resource space at Craft NI - includes exhibition pieces from the Arts Council NI collection and 'making it' programme participants. It also offers visitors the opportunity to browse through Craft NI's holdings of magazines, journals, catalogues and more. The space is open during Craft NI hours of business.
Craft NI: The Art of Presenting Craft23-Sep-2016The Art of Presenting Craft is a bespoke workshop programme aimed at mid-career designer-makers. It consists of four workshops focusing on personal and professional development as well as business development issues pertinent to more established craftspeople.
