    Made:Grown Exhibition

Made:Grown is Rachel Leary's first solo show. The exhibition includes a range of ceramic artworks from Rachel Leary’s experience with clay since she discovered ‘Egyptian Faience’. This is a self-glazing, clay and glass based material which Rachel has adapted to be either sculpted or left to move freely within the kiln. Inspired by the unique and uncommon material and her interest in organic form, texture and colour, Rachel’s work represents the juxtaposition between man-made and the organic world, depicting the static against natural growth. Alongside new work, the sculptures displayed were created during significant times of Rachel’s practice, including her Master’s degree and residencies in Denmark and Canada.

    Opening night: 3 May 2018, 7-9pm

    Dates: 3 - 24 May 2018.
