European Prize for Applied Arts 202128-Oct-2020 - Calls for Makers
Launched in 2009, in partnership with the City of Mons, WCC-Europe and supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, the European Prize for Applied Arts rewards contemporary works of applied arts and handcrafted design. A 5th edition which will celebrate the 40 years of the association.

Call for Expressions of Interest22-Oct-2020 - Commissions
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council invites Expressions of Interests from artists, designers, architects and/or design teams for the design, fabrication and installation of public art that will form part of the £5.2 million Public Realm project for Enniskillen. In partnership with a range of stakeholders, the Council has identified four sites and opportunities for artist/designer led commissions across the town centre.

Inspired by the simple principle that people are fascinated when artists and craftsmen openly demonstrate their skills and discuss their work. Learn, buy and enjoy exhibitions, classes and performances by local artists.

Textile Arts Workshop - An Creagán- Workshops
Textile Artist Andrea Hayes will show participants a variety of contemporary textile techniques that she uses to create her on artwork. Individuals can create a similar variation to one of Andrea's pieces or if they have a scene/image they would like to recreate they can bring do this also. This will include using specialist paints to paint backgrounds, access to a wide variety of fabrics for applique and fusing fabrics together and using fine metal such as copper and how to incorporate this into their very own artwork.

Re:New Wallace Collection
Celebrating the bicentenary of the birth of Sir Richard Wallace, this is the first collaboration between Lisburn’s R –Space Gallery and the Wallace Collection in London. The Collection is housed in 25 galleries and comprises French 18th Century painting, furniture and porcelain and a world class armoury. And it’s the armoury in particular that has inspired artist Alison Lowry’s week long residency at the collection.

Sell Your Craft Online28-May-2020
Craft NI presents a series of five FREE training sessions for NI Makers, selected to help Sell Your Craft Online with limited time and resources.
This programme is fully booked and we’ve been working with Chris Murphy to re-configure it for on-line delivery via Zoom. If lockdown lifts before the last session(s) we’ll revert to face to face, and either way, we’ll have an in-person session at the end for everyone to get together and work through any remaining questions.
