New to August Craft Month in 2020 is Craft in Conversation with renowned arts broadcast journalist and BBC Radio Ulster Culture Café presenter, Marie-Louise Muir.

Marie-Louise will be speaking each week to a prestigious guest from the craft world.

This week Marie-Louise will sit down with celebrated ceramic artist, Kate Malone MBE.

Kate is known for her large sculptural vessels and rich bright glazes. Her work is on display in a number of public locations including a giant ceramic fish in water at Hackney Marshes, London and a large pot at Manchester Art Gallery.

Her work is also held in numerous public collections including The Arts Council, Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery, Crafts Council, Victoria & Albert Museum and Los Angeles County Museum of Art

The interview will give you fantastic insight into Kate’s approach to her stand-out work, her craft journey and what inspires her. There will also be a Q&A and an opportunity to ask Kate Malone questions on her career and the craft sector.
