Claire Hart Design
Claire Hart has been developing her silversmithing for seven years and makes all of her original pieces by hand from silver, carving and filing from silver.
The inspiration for Claire’s silverware, jewellery and art originally came from her return trips to Yunnan, China. Her work currently features flowers and butterflies which have significance in the area of Yunnan she has links with. She has been taught by some of the top silversmiths in London - Howard Fenn, Steve Wager and Niall Paisley. She was a member of Flux Studios in Camberwell, London for 5 years. Claire has regularly shown in top UK exhibitions such as the Desire Fair, RHS Wisley,Treasure and her silver bowls have been selected twice for the RUA Annual Exhibition.
Claire refines and polishes all of her work by hand. She spent a long time developing claw-setting techniques to set the red roses she discovered on trips to China, and had expert help from top UK claw-setter, Niall Paisley.
