Working from her studio near Holywood, Elin describes her work as ‘wearable sculpture’; bold scale, form, and embellishment, freeing the pieces from conventional perceptions of everyday use.
In her latest series ‘Voluma’, she merges tradition and technique to create beautiful silver and gold one-off and limited edition pieces inspired by purity of form and clean lines. Blending the two precious metals using the ancient Keum-Boo process, Elin creates exquisite sculptural cuffs, bracelets, rings and earrings, which elevate the status of jewellery beyond simple decoration or accessory to produce dramatic cutting edge jewellery for a modern audience.
For Elin, bringing complementary precious metal elements together in a novel way gives each piece its unique visual expression, and creates a compelling individual statement for the wearer.
Exhibiting widely, her limited edition work is available either directly or through selected applied arts galleries, or she is very happy to work to bespoke personal commission. Stockists include F.E. McWilliam Gallery, Banbridge and Craftswirl, St Patrick's Trian, Armagh.
