Eva Walsh graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2010 with a B.A. (Hons) Glass. She was awarded with the Scottish Glass Society Prize ‘Best Glass Work in Edinburgh College of Art Degree Show’.
Since her graduation she has exhibited her glasswork both locally and internationally.
In 2015 Eva was awarded the Fingal County Council’s Artists’ Support Scheme Bursary, enabling her to attend a Workshop to develop her practice by learning new techniques and skills. These techniques included screen-printing on glass and various modern paint application techniques, such as air-brushing.
Fairy tales are a source of inspiration for Eva. As moral tales of opposites, containing good and bad, light and dark, they tend to serve as warnings against the dark or unknown aspects of the human mind. It is this unconscious aspect of the human psyche that she wishes to bring to light through her glasswork.
