Largely self taught, Harriett Moore-Boyd has always been interested in textile work, particularly knitting. She is inspired by shapes in the natural and architectural landscapes everywhere she goes.
She likes to use natural and unusual fibres incorporating them into her scarves and wraps. She searches far and wide for her fibres and uses specially designed bespoke yarn from New Zealand, Fairtrade Sari Silks from India, as well as linen, linen mixes, merinos and felting wools from the EU.
Harriet has been in business for ten years, starting in 2004 at her local Country Market and going on to make a corporate range of scarves for a major international company with offices in Belfast & Canada. She also re-created two of the iconic jumpers in the hit film Good Vibrations.
She has supplied several outlets in Northern Ireland over the last six years and has a permanent retail outlet at the award winning St Georges Market in Belfast every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
