Mount Ida Pottery
Mount Ida Pottery has been operating for over 20 years. The studio is placed in a beautiful rural location in South Down over looking a typical Northern Ireland landscape. The studio which was purpose built 2 years ago is situated overlooking a beautiful garden at one side and a view down the Lagan Valley on the other.
Trevor has been working as a full time teacher for 33 years but has recently chosen to become a fulltime ceramic artist, which has been his lifetime goal. All of the work created in the studio is hand built and glazed with a broad range of highly coloured earthenware glazes.
He has exhibited with Ceramics Ireland in Dublin and plays an active role in the Art and Design Teachers' Association. He has also participated in all of the major craft fairs throughout Northern Ireland over the past 25 years. He draws his inspiration from his local rural environment and this very evident in his work.
