Slieve Croob Silver

Pat Wilson from Co. Down is passionate about metal clay, an exciting and versatile material made from recycled silver. Metal clays produce infinite creative possibilities. Mainly working with fine silver to design and make unique jewellery, Pat also uses sterling silver, copper and bronze. She adds colour to her work by incorporating dichroic glass, natural stones and by adding layers of enamel and fusing gold leaf (keum boo). Her Hallmark is registered with the Birmingham Assay Office.

Signature themes are environmental, romantic and cultural. Inspired by the countryside around Slieve Croob where she lives and works, Pat makes textures foraged from hedgerows, beaches and the garden.

As an accredited Art Clay Level 2 metal clay instructor, Pat specialises in workshops for beginners, fun days out and other artists wishing to extend their mixed media capacity. Pat’s work was selected in 2016 for Spacecraft’s Lovecraft and the NI Assembly Gift Shop.
