Following a degree in contemporary applied art, Wendy received an MFA in Multidisciplinary Design from Ulster University specialising in porcelain lighting design. Wendy went on to become designer in residence at Belleek Pottery for two years as part of the Craft NI ‘Making it’ business start up programme.
An award winning designer, Wendy designs and handcrafts porcelain lighting using a traditional slip casting technique. This lighting range centres around the delicacy, translucency and luminosity of porcelain to create functional products that are lifestyle orientated. The ranges are inspired by pattern and structure found throughout the Irish landscape, combined with contemporary form.
Wendy was awarded ambassador for European ceramics in 2017, a winner in the international Future Lights in Ceramics competition. She has worked with a number of international companies including Meissen Porcelain, Galway Crystal, Arts and Business NI and has recently launched a range in collaboration with Belleek Living in 2017.
Her lighting collections are part of the Porzellanikon Museum Selb, Germany permanent collection.
