James Rigler Lecture
Applied Arts Ireland & Northern Ireland are delighted to announce its Spring lecture by ceramic artist, James Rigler, at Ulster Museum Lecture Theatre in Belfast.
James is an artist who works with clay and other everyday materials, to create sculptures and installations that question the architecture and meaning of the places around us. A graduate of the University of Brighton and the Royal College of Art, his work is often influenced by his time spent as a model-maker and mould-maker in the architectural ceramic industry. James has exhibited internationally and is a visiting lecturer at the Royal College of Art, London. He is based in Glasgow, and represented by Marsden Woo Gallery, London.
James will discuss his practice and influences whilst providing a unique insight into his working methods.
Applied Arts Northern Ireland is funded by the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.
