Craft NI is delighted to host the first group exhibition from the Association for Contemporary Jewellers and Silversmiths NI (ACJNI). Pinned presents the work of 23 local jewellers and silversmiths who have each responded to the exhibition’s theme to produce one-of-a-kind pieces beyond the scope of their usual commission or production work.

The exhibition features over 50 variations on the idea of a brooch, with versions in both precious and non-precious materials. Traditionally set stones contrast with re-purposed vintage tins and toys, precision geometry meets abstract forms. Gold, silver and gemstones sit alongside found objects in unexpected interpretations that demonstrate technical accomplishment, innovation and creativity.

Perfectly timed ahead of an extraordinary Christmas season, all the works are for sale. With prices starting under £70, the show offers a wonderful opportunity to select a unique piece and support a local business. In light of ongoing restrictions, all the works in Pinned have been professionally photographed, so as well as being on display in the Craft NI Gallery, they can be viewed below and ACJNI will feature individual makers on Instagram during the exhibition.

The exhibition pieces are available for sale on our online shop here. Staff will be happy to help with any enquiries while restricitions are in place. Social distancing measures are in place in the gallery for the safety of visitors and staff. These include restricted numbers, one way system, perspex screens, hand sanitiser and additional cleaning processes in place.

The exhibition is accompanied by:
