Wire Sculpture and Hand Building Ceramics in the Mournes


Join us for a Mourne Creative experience in wire sculpture and ceramic trinket ware workshops up here in the Mournes in the stunning setting of Gorse Hill Farm Bryansford, Co Down. 

On Saturday learn how to create your own Mourne Hare Wire Sculpture (suitable for inside and outside for your garden) with Julie Murphy. Julie will be sharing her skills and knowledge in her field of sculpture to help you with your own Hare to be then replicated into other forms at home. In the evening, if the weather is fine, we hope to try hike up Meelmore, so bring your boots if you have them.

Then on Sunday to return to the barn to indulge in ceramic fun with Amy Mackle to create your own porcelain range of Trinket ware to keep or to give as presents. Handcrafted items always make the best presents!

The Workshops will take place at the Barn in Gorse Hill Farm and will run from 10-4pm each day with a break for a picnic lunch between 1 and 2 pm. In the evening, dinner will be served around the campfire and for the night, glamping pods are provided, equipped with sockets, heaters, mattresses and a fire bowl for toasting marshmallows. All materials food and accommodation are included in the cost. All you need is you, your creativity and a sleeping bag! Come rediscover your creativity, make new friends and take home what you make, all here in the stunning surroundings of the Majestic Mourne Mountains.
