Ballymena Business Centre Official Opening
Ballymena Business Centre officially opened their new Enterprise Hub in Ballymena Town Centre on the 18th of May 2015. This initiative includes the Church Street Craft Market - a 100% artist run retail space - which is located within the new development.
In May 2014, Ballymena Business Centre announced a £1m enterprise investment consisting of the purchase of prime retail premises in the Church Street area of the town.
This 8,000 sq ft Enterprise Hub was designated to host a business advice centre; retail pods for the creative sector; enterprise exhibition space; conference facilities; office accommodation; and an enterprise lounge sponsored by Bank of Ireland UK.
Bringing craft enterprise to the heart of Ballymena, this new initiative now hosts 30 resident entrepreneurs from the craft sector who have started their business as part theChurch Street Craft Market– an exciting 100% artist-run retail space – located within the town centre premises. Products range from jewellery, ceramics, paintings, fabric and woollen gift items and bespoke had crafted furniture.
Ballymena Business Centre have also been offering business support to developing creative businesses in the area.
Special guest at the launch included Cllr Audrey Wales MBE Mayor of Ballymena and Mr Mervyn Storey MLA Minister Department for Social Development.
