Derry City Council Craft Development Programme
On the 20th of June, Derry City Council launch their Craft Development Programme. The programme is launched by new mayor, Brenda Stevenson, and Alan Kane, Chief Executive of Craft NI, will provide a presentation on the current status of the craft sector in Northern Ireland.
The launch will include an overview of the programme which aims to encourage and facilitate the development and growth of the craft sector in the Derry City Council area.
The programme is part-funded by Invest NI and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the European Sustainable Competitiveness Programme for NI until 30 June 2015.
Further details will also be available on an Export Programme currently being developed as well as CultureCraft 2014 which is supported through the Craft Development Programme, Business Opportunities Programme and Derry City Council legacy funding.
The winning entry of the Clipper Trophy prizes from a recent call to designer-makers will also be on display.
Date: Friday 20 June 2014 (10.15am registration for 10.30am start). Lunch will be provided at the close of the programme at approx 12.15pm.
