Five NI designer-makers selected for top UK selling events
This Autumn five designer-makers from Northern Ireland will be taking part in two key selling events for contemporary craft with support from Craft NI's Trade Development Programme.
Adam Frew, Stephen Farnan and Derek Wilson , all working in ceramics [pictured here], will be exhibiting alongside jeweller, Rachel McKnight and glass artist Pia Raeymaekers at The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair taking place at Spinningfields, Manchester from 22nd-24th October 2010. Rachel McKnight will also be showing her interior ranges at 100% Design, London from the 23rd-26th September.
Both events showcase the most innovative and cutting edge products currently being produced in the UK and internationally.
The selection process for exhibitors to these events ensures the highest quality of craftsmanship and design in the works exhibited. Both events boast an impressive range of visitors from international galleries through to Architects and Interior Designers, alongside significant press coverage.
The Trade Event Programme is a Craft Northern Ireland initiative supported by the Creative Industries Innovation Fund. The programme provides assistance to makers to attend commercial events and research export opportunities for their businesses.
