News Updates from Craft NI

Alan Kane, Chief Executive Officer at Craft NI from 2012, retired at the end March 2017. Following four years in post he is looking forward to taking some time out to enjoy a more leisurely pace of life. The Board would like to thank Alan for his dedication and work for the craft sector here and wish him well in his retirement.

We’re delighted to report we have received funding from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland to continue our work to champion the craft sector here, despite government discourse and resulting funding cuts across the region. We look forward to delivering August Craft Month 2017, which is shaping up beautifully, as well as maintaining key initiatives and partnerships to promote, support and advocate on behalf of makers all over Northern Ireland. Keep checking our website daily for news and updates.

Our core staff team of Orla McGrady, Meadhbh McIlgorm and Aaron Drain look forward to continuing to work with you and sharing with you some new plans and initiatives as they emerge over the coming months. If you need to contact any of us you can get in touch here.

We are also working hard with Arts Council NI and key strategic craft partners to ensure continued growth and investment for craft in Northern Ireland, so watch this space!
