Own Art scheme comes to NI
The Arts Council have launched the Own Arts Scheme in Northern Ireland. Own Art is a UK-wide initiative which makes it easy and affordable for everyone to take home high quality contemporary arts and crafts.
The Own Art initiative offers interest-free loans, from £100-£2,000, repayable over a 10 month period, to purchase works by living artists.
The Arts Council of Northern Ireland is now piloting the Own Art programme in four galleries here – Gormley’s branches in Omagh and Belfast , Emer Gallery in Belfast and White Image in Hillsborough. Plans are already in place to extend the Own Art initiative to other galleries across the country over the next few months. Further information about the scheme in Northern Ireland on the Arts Council NI's website.
Visit the Own Art website for further details about the scheme and details of participating galleries.
