Culture Ireland’s principal funding scheme is designed to support the presentation and promotion of Irish arts internationally. There are four funding rounds each year. The next deadline is 15 February 2012.

Grants of £3,000-£7,000 are available to individuals, societies, associations or other bodies in the UK or Japan to promote and support interaction between the two countries. The next deadline is the 30th March 2012.

Allianz Kulturstiftung, Munich. First and foremost the Allianz Kulturstiftung addresses exceptionally gifted young people from all sectors of art, culture and education, from whom the Foundation expects that they will take an active part in shaping the 21st century.

Awards for All offers grants of between £300 and £10,000 for projects that improve communities, and the lives of people within them.

Lisburn Arts Advisory Committee are now welcoming applications to the 34th round of their Arts Grants Scheme.

The UnLtd ‘Level 2’ award consists of up to £15,000 to meet personal living expenses or project costs as well as dedicated business support over a twelve month period.

As part of its annual business plan the Arts Council will prioritise emerging artists by ring- fencing 20% of awards for applicants that have not previously received awards under this programme. The emphasis will be the quality of the work submitted in support of the application and the potential of an award to develop skills, expertise and career.

The Foyle Foundation is an independent grantmaking trust that distributes grants to UK charities. The Foundation operates a Main Grants Scheme supporting charities whose core work covers Arts and Learning and a Small Grants Scheme covering small charities in all fields.

EU Vocational Training Programme for Organisations involved in vocational training. Leonardo da Vinci is a European Community programme which aims to support national training strategies through funding a range of transnational partnership projects aimed at improving quality, fostering innovation and promoting the European dimension in vocational training.

The trust awards funding to persons involved in ceramics in the UK.

Culture Ireland is the new national agency to promote Irish arts and artists overseas. As part of its remit it allocates funding for overseas activities of Irish artists or arts organisations; and in order to facilitate Irish participation at strategic international arts events and the management of ‘emblematic’ cultural events either in Ireland or abroadThe Culture Ireland website gives a list of recent grants awarded for examples of decisions made.

Funding to support visual-arts projects across the UK including Northern Ireland. Esmee Fairbairn has agreed funding over three years to the Henry Moore Foudnation (HMF) with the goal of supporting artists & visual arts projects across the UK.

Launched in February 2003, the STEP beyond fund supports cross-border movement of artists and cultural workers to experience diversity and cross-cultural cooperation between all European countries, including those that are not currently members of the European Union.

Funding travel costs and transportation to overseas exhibitions of their work. The British Council Grants to Artists Scheme is for professional artists and makers with an emerging or established national critical reputation (demonstrated by exhibition CV and national profile).

Funding Opportunities. The Arts Council of Northern Ireland is the lead development agency for the arts in Northern Ireland and the main support for artists and arts organisations.

The Small Grants Programme replaces the Big Lottery Fund’s ‘Awards for All’ scheme.
