Craft Northern Ireland is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy relates to our use of any personal information you provide to us through the Craft NI website, or through requests to be added to our mailing list.

What information do we collect?

Craft NI holds information on database and electronically. We will collect personal details appropriate to which service you choose to sign up to.

If you sign up to receive either / both of the monthly e-bulletins from Craft NI you will be asked to register your name and email details. If you are added to our database we will ask you for your name, address, and contact details.

What do we use personal information for?

Craft NI will use your personal information for the following purposes:
•    to send you information that may be of interest to you
•    to invite you to participate in surveys
•    where you have opted to receive specific information/correspondence

Will Craft NI share my personal information?

Your information will be kept confidential except where disclosure may be required or permitted by law.

From time to time Craft NI would like to share information on our database with third parties such as government and development agencies. This helps support our advocacy of the sector.
If you would like us not to share your details, you can email info@craftni.org with 'optout' as the email subject. Craft NI does not share any information about you with commercial third parties.

How long will Craft NI keep my personal information?

We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary, or until you request removal from our contact databases.

How do we protect your personal information?

We are committed to guarding the security of your personal information. We take appropriate organisational and technical security measures to protect your data against unauthorised disclosure or processing. Our server and backups used to store the information you give us when you register are held in a secure environment and are password protected. However you should keep in mind that should you contact us via our websites, that no Internet transmission is ever completely secure or error-free.

Can I find out what personal information is held about me?

Under the Data Protection Act, you can make a formal request for information about any personal information we are holding about you. Please contact info@craftni.org . Information requests will be fulfilled within a 40 day period. We may make a small charge for this service.

Maintaining your personal information

Craft NI aims to keep the information it holds about you accurate and up-to-date. If at any time you wish to update or amend any information we hold about you, or if you become aware of any errors or inaccuracies, please contact info@craftni.org

If you wish to stop receiving information from Craft NI, you can unsubscribe from our contacts list by clicking on the relevant ‘unsubscribe’ option on the correspondence. If you wish to stop receiving electronic correspondence you can unsubscribe by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ button on the email.
