Programmes

Craft NI runs a number of programmes to support designer-makers and develop audiences for craft. Programmes such as making it are focused on the designer-maker, while other programmes, such as C3 – Collecting Contemporary Craft and August Craft Month focus on developing audiences for craft. --

    Craft NI: The Art of Presenting Craft The Art of Presenting Craft is a bespoke workshop programme aimed at mid-career designer-makers. It consists of four workshops focusing on personal and professional development as well as business development issues pertinent to more established craftspeople.     Business Development Programme 2015-16 Craft NI's new two-year Business Development Programme (2015 to November 2016) is made up of eight free half-day modules over the course of 18 months, and is facilitated by Francis Verling, Verling Consulting, and includes a range of guest speakers.

    Craft NI’s making it programme is a 2-year business start-up programme for makers in craft and applied arts. making it is a model of best practice in craft enterprise development. The making it 2013-15 programme is drawing to a close, and we are delighted to announce the new making it 2015-2017 participants.


  • Export Development Programme

    Export Development Programme Craft Northern Ireland welcomes submissions from NI professional designer/makers who would like to be considered for the 15-17 Export Development Programme, supported by Invest NI. The programme is designed to assist designer-makers to attend trade / retail fairs.
  • Innovation Boost

    Innovation Boost

    Supported by the Creative Industries Innovation Fund, Craft NI’s ‘Innovation Boost’ programme was designed to support mid-career designer-makers in NI whose craft businesses benefitted from a boost whether in their creative process, design innovation or product sales.
